ABOUT MY WEBSITE
This Website was developed using C# and ASP.NET with Visual Studio 2005, but
later upgraded to Visual Studio 2008. The original back-end database was SQL Server 2005,
which was also later upgraded to SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition. It uses SQL
Server stored procedures in it's middle tier to load the latest data from tables and
views into my Web pages.
I have used some of the new features of Visual Studio 2005 & 2008, such as the Site Navigation Tools,
Master Pages with AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), Paging, Themes and Skins, and Data Sets to
improve my proficiency of Visual Studio.
I have also added mobile device support to this website. So, if you access the same URL
using any mobile device (such as, iPods, Smart Phones, PocketPCs, PDAs & Windows Mobile),
you will automatically see a device-friendly version. You can also see the contents of the mobile
device version of this website by clicking on the "Mobile Home" link in the navigation pane.
ABOUT MY WORK
I have been in the software development business for more than 10 years. My top areas of strength are:
|
1. |
Database design and development on most platforms, such as MS-SQL Server,
Oracle, MySQL, MS-Access, FoxPro, etc. |
|
2. |
Development of the Internet, Intranet, Windows Forms and Client-Server applications
with C#, VB, ASP.NET, VS.NET, MS-Access, MS-Excel, VBA (VB for Applications), and others. |
|
3. |
Project management of the full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). |
|
4. |
In addition to the features added to the numerous versions of Microsoft SQL
Server, I have worked with Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services
(SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS) and Analysis Services (SSAS) through the
Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS). I work with SQL Server
Management Studio (SSMS) practically everyday. I have also created many stored procedures,
views, functions, triggers, etc. at very high levels of complexity. |
|
5. |
I have even developed mobile applications with PocketPCs, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 7. |
